If you’ve ever met Haley you will understand why we needed to learn more about her. She is sunshine, rainbows and all things that make you happy.
Haley is a Salty Sister, originally from Virginia USA, but currently living her dream life in Bali, Indonesia. Her Bali journey started at 16 years old, a lil grom on her first surf trip to Bali with mum. Many years later, after “stuck” in Bali when lockdowns commenced amid Covid, she turned the uncertainty around this time into a beautiful positive and three years later she still calls Bali home.
Haley connects deeply to Elations values to empower women who live under the sun and in the sea. As a female surfer, in a male dominated sport, this is a really important aspect.
“I feel most at home in the ocean and Elation enhances that feeling.”
Haley, herself owns a business Meraki Supply Company, specialising in dry bags where aesthetic doesn’t have to be compromised.
As a female surfer, Haley grew up in a family of fisherman, who shared the love of surfing, boating and fishing with her. She was always provided with hand-me-down wetsuits from the older guys, or having to buy the smallest size booties.
Growing up, Haley realised that women of the sea community are left out in a lot of the design processes of the surf products and equipment. This became more apparent after two years of living in Bali and not being able to find a dry bag to take on boats when surfing, again, everything was designed for males and nothing appealing to the eye.
Meraki bags encourage men and women to live the life of their dreams, feel their most authentic selves and look good while doing so!
When she’s not busy packing orders, designing products and all things business, Haley will be in the water, wearing her Elation pieces, surfing, snorkelling and swimming with her boyfriend. Living on the surf-saturated island of Bali makes this life so easy!
Haley first fell in love with the beautiful colours and prints of Elation, only to realise the practicality and functionality of the brand. Her salty swimsuit of choice is currently, The Riptide Top and Boa Bottoms in 'OCEANA' print. This set provides extra sun protection from the Bali rays. You will also see Haley surfing around in all parts of Indo In Eagle Ray, a long time favourite.
