A Foodie’s Weekend in Uluwatu: Where We Ate & Drank

Spending the weekend in Uluwatu for my birthday wasn’t just about chasing waves and catching sunsets—it was also the perfect excuse to eat my way through some of the best spots in town. From laid-back brunches to fresh sushi and top-tier cocktails, here’s a rundown of where we ate (and drank) over the weekend.

Milk & Madu – Kicking Off with Brunch & Waves

The weekend started strong with Milk & Madu for breakfast at our Surf & Soul event with Elation. This spot never misses— a buzzing atmosphere and good food that hits just right. I went for the boss omelette, and it was so delish. The perfect fuel before a morning in the waves.

Artisan – A Cozy Brunch Spot

The next day, we opted for a slower morning and hit Artisian for brunch. This little café had a relaxed vibe, great AC (a blessing in the Bali heat), and a solid menu filled with fresh, flavourful dishes. The coffee was smooth, and the food was exactly what we needed to ease into the day.

Sushimi Bali – Fresh & Flavourful

For dinner, we wanted something light yet satisfying, so we went for sushi at Sushimi Bali. Their sushi train-style setup made it fun and easy to grab whatever caught our eye. The salmon sashimi melted in my mouth, and the spicy tuna roll had the perfect kick. Nothing too fancy, just fresh, simple, and super tasty.

Mason – A Dinner to Remember

For a more elevated dining experience, we booked a table at Mason, and wow—it delivered. Their menu is all about simple, high-quality ingredients done right, and every dish was on point. We shared some perfectly cooked fish, fresh salads, and house-made dips, all paired with a chilled-out but stylish ambiance. It was the perfect spot for a celebratory meal.

Teja – Sunset Cocktails & Good Vibes

No birthday weekend is complete without sunset cocktails, and Teja was the perfect choice. The view was stunning, the drinks were beautifully crafted, and the vibe was exactly what we needed to close out the night. Sitting back with a delicious cocktail in hand while watching the sky turn gold? Absolute bliss.

Final Thoughts

Uluwatu is one of my favourite places—not just for the surf but for the food. From easy brunches to proper dinners and sunset drinks with great views, this weekend was an absolute dream. Already counting down to the next excuse to come back and do it all over again 🌊🍽️🍸

Are you heading to Bali this year?
