Daily Diaries - My Top 3 Work-Friendly Cafes in Canggu

March 3rd

My Favourite Work Spots

I’ll be honest! most days, I’d rather work from my little Bali home. I know the WiFi is strong, the AC is cranking, and (on most days) it’s quiet enough to stay focused.

That said, sometimes I need a change of scenery. Whether it's to break up the routine, escape a power outage (classic Bali moment), or just feel a little more social, there are a few spots I keep coming back to when I decide to work from somewhere else.

My Go-To Work Cafes in Bali

Secret Spot Cafe – This place has solid WiFi, good lighting, and delicious vegan food. It’s a great spot if you want a chill atmosphere with plenty of natural light.

Amo Spa – The AC is strong (a lifesaver in Bali), and the staff are super lovely. The only downside? The lighting is a bit dim, so I wouldn’t come here if I needed to do anything visually intense, but for admin work or emails, it’s perfect.

Awan Connection – If I need to really focus, this is the spot. It has a proper office-style setup with comfy chairs, great WiFi, and a quiet environment—ideal for deep work sessions.

My Work Cafe Habits

When I go out to work, I try to stay as distraction-free as possible. That usually means eating at home beforehand and just ordering a drink while I chip away at my to-do list. If I’m going to a cafe, I want to make sure I’m actually productive, not just scrolling and pretending to be busy.

If your home setup isn’t ideal for working (maybe the WiFi is dodgy or it’s too noisy), I’d definitely recommend looking into a co-working membership. It’s a great investment if you need a reliable and creative space without the distractions of a café.

At the end of the day, my home office setup works best for me—but every now and then, a change of scenery does wonders.

Where’s your go-to work spot in Bali? Let me know! I’m always open to new recommendations!
