Daily Diaries - Reality Check

Reality Check: Day 18 of Daily Diaries

Alright, let me be real!, writing this daily blog has been harder than I expected. At the start, I was hyped! Now? Some days, it feels like a mission to come up with something to say. So today, I’m keeping it simple, I’ll just tell you exactly how my day went.

The morning kicked off with a sunrise surf. The conditions weren’t great, but that just meant fewer people in the lineup, which is always a win in my book. Post-surf, I’ve been making more of an effort to take care of my hair, it’s definitely feeling the effects of all the salt and sun lately. Then, coffee (of course), a little journaling (getting back into the habit after an unintentional break), and diving into work.

One of the highlights? Checking out a new t-shirt sample, spoiler alert, it’s looking good! Keep an eye out. Then, since the internet was down in my area, I set up shop at a café to get some work done. I had my weekly meeting with Mel, which I love that we’ve been so consistent, and it makes such a difference.

After that, I picked up some ingredients for dinner, had a quick lunch, and then treated myself to a brutal but much-needed massage. One of the things I love about Bali? You can have an amazing massage in the comfort of your own home. Pure magic (but painful today). Then, it was straight into cooking, roast veggies, salmon, and salad. Simple, but so good.

Ended the day with a late sunset walk, and now, here I am, writing this blog.

On paper, it all sounds great. But the truth is, some of these small tasks have been causing me a lot of worry lately. Every day, I’m becoming more aware of my mindset, learning to slow down, and reconnecting with the Abbey I know I am.

Let’s see what tomorrow brings. Hope you had a good day today. ❤️
