Emma Wilkins from South Australia
@emmawilkins_
Emma’s love for the ocean began in her hometown of Port Lincoln, South Australia, where she spent her days snorkelling, diving, and cage diving with Great White Sharks. This early connection to the sea has set the course for her life.
“This love for the ocean drew me in, and I knew I wanted a job on the water. Studying marine biology at university was the perfect choice.”
After University, Emma visited Exmouth, Australia and fell in love instantly and wanted to move. “My mum insisted I find a job and a place to live before moving. Within three days, I had both and moved, leaving behind my upcoming honours degree at university.”
Three years later, Emma is thrilled with her decision. After starting working with Ningaloo Glass Bottom Boat, she now works with Ningaloo Blue Dive as a swim guide and marine biologist on the whale shark boat. “I’ve had incredible experiences here with orcas, humpback whales, whale sharks, manta rays, and more!”
